Unilever is Planning a $7.44 Billion Sale of Some of its Food Brands

UK newspapers reported on March 19 2017 that Unilever was planning a $7.44 billion sale of quite a number of its food brands.

According to reports, the Anglo-Dutch company is planning to sell Flora margarine and Stork butter brands.

The Sunday Telegraph has further noted that, has cited sources as saying private equity firms Bain Capital, CVC and Clayton Dubilier and Rice have initiated the process of working on offers for the "spreads" business, citing sources.

The maker of household brands like Knorr soups, Dove soap and Ben & Jerry's ice cream rejected a $143 billion takeover offer from Kraft Heinz in February.
